APRIL
Adam's department had an "outing" at the ice rink in Murray. It was the first time Logan and Madison had been ice skating, and only the second time for Hailey and Maggie. Everyone was nervous at first. Luckily, they had these walker looking things to help them out at first.
Madison lasted about as long as it took me to get this shot of her and she was DONE. She did not enjoy how slippery the ice was.
Maggie was zooming all over the place in no time (it's all that rollerblading she does I guess)
This is: some guy? then, Logan, Maggie, Adam and Hailey
Logan was cruising around on his own my the time we were ready to go too, and Hailey (my most timid one) had even let go of the wall.
This is Maggie and Madison "sleeping" in the cave. I think they were "puppies" at the time...
This was what Hailey and Maggie created at the sand table....I was pretty impressed.
And little Madison. She could hardly reach.
Of course we had to get ice cream afterwards.
Easter.
The traditional dying of the eggs,
.....hunting for the eggs....
......hunting for the Easter baskets....
..and finding the Easter baskets.
Later that day, we went to South Jordan for the candy "hunt". Not much of a hunt. The candy is lying all over the ground.
Here is Hailey waiting for the "go" signal....
...and this is what Hailey got......
She said it was too crowded.
Maggie "hunting".
Madison and Grandma Heaton visiting with some dragon...or dinosaur...thing.
Then someone had the idea that it would be fun to go hike up to Donut falls....We packed a lunch and drove up the canyon to find the road closed with 8 feet of snow still on it!
We got out of the car long enough to take some cheerful pictures before we FROZE and had to leave.
And here are the children in their Easter finery.
And just some of Madison's silly-ness. Just call her spider-girl.
She made this cozy little reading area.
