Fantastic 4th

(Another post I never published...July 4 2010)

The fourth of July was a 3 1/2 day celebration for us this year, as the fourth fell on a Sunday.
Friday afternoon, we drove down to the Fairview/Mt Pleasant area to stay with our neighbors parents for the night. The "old" Bishopric had always meant to do a "campout"/temple trip together, but we never seemed to pull it together until after they were released. (I guess because they aren't as busy now eh?) The Bishops and his wife's families both live down there, and her family was gracious enough to let us stay with them. We had really fun country kinda night. We barbequed the famous Sanpete county turkey, made homemade ice cream, lit fire works and looked at the stars while Daina's Dad played the guitar. We went to bed quite late, which made for an interesting morning. WE had to be up, dressed, and fed early enough to drive out to Moroni for the" parade". I use the word "parade" a little loosely because tit was mostly just people with signs and advertisements on their trucks, and throwing bucket loads of candy.

Logan is obsessed with cars, and we noticed this beautiful Corvette behind us when we sat down for the parade. It was actually Bishops Step-fathers car, but we didn't know that until after he'd posed for this picture:
